Clinical Psychologist

Anne-Sophie Riegel is a Clinical Psychologist who received a master’s degree in clinical psychology and psychotherapy from the University of Paris 8.

She has worked for several years in a maternity, a parent-baby unit and a child psychiatry department in the Toulon Hospital Center, in southeast of France.
As a perinatal psychologist, Anne-Sophie deals with all the issues surrounding the birth of a child, taking care of the development of the parent-child bond, the development of a newborn and the parental psychological balance and well-being.

As a child psychologist, she provides support to families whose children have a behavioural or developmental disorder caused by emotional dysregulation, trauma and loss, health-related problems or stress.

She developed an expertise in the treatment of psychotrauma, which is encountered in so many personal life stories and is responsible for a lot of mental and developmental troubles. This expertise is very useful in helping parents and children to develop a resilience.

She has been trained in Lifespan Integration; a psycho-corporal therapeutic method developed in the US by Peggy Pace with an increasing growth in Europe. This therapy was born from knowledge in neuroscience and the theory of attachment. The Lifespan Integration therapy facilitates rapid healing in people of all ages and is effective with a wide range of therapeutic issues (behavioural, emotional disorder, loss, trauma, health-related problems and stress), helping to clear body memory of trauma, but also to build a strong self-structure.
